1. Kids Fest
Kids Fest is a joyful, weekly gathering held every Saturday at Wonders of Hope for children aged 5 and above. We provide a safe and vibrant space where children can pray, sing, learn, play, and grow together. With over 150 children attending each week, Kids Fest is more than an event , it's a movement raising the next generation in faith, confidence, and love.

Why Kids Fest Matters
In a community where many children face poverty, broken homes, and daily hardship, Kids Fest provides a safe and joyful place every Saturday where they can be loved, mentored, and guided into becoming strong, confident, and hopeful individuals.
A Saturday Full of Life
Each Saturday is built around faith, fun, and formation. Children are grouped by age to ensure they receive care and teaching suited to their level. The sessions include:
- Prayer & Praise – Starting the day with songs, worship, and heartfelt prayer
- Bible Stories & Teaching – Learning about God’s love and how to live it out
- Mentorship & Character Building – Equipping children with life skills, emotional support, and encouragement
- Games, Sports & Creative Arts – Activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and healthy fun
- Feeding Program – Each child receives a nourishing meal to fuel both body and mind

“This isn’t just support. It’s saying: I see you, and I’m not leaving.”
Becoming Who God Says You Are
The Gideon’s Mentorship is a weekly discipleship and leadership journey for teens and young adults aged 13 and above. Rooted in the story of Gideon, this program helps youth discover who they are in Christ, rise above fear and insecurity, and walk in confidence and purpose.
When schools are in session, we engage through outreach—visiting classrooms and speaking in assemblies. During holidays, we host mentorship days at the Wonders of Hope Centre, creating safe spaces where youth can connect deeply, be heard, and grow spiritually and emotionally.

Why It Matters
Today’s youth face pressure, confusion, and hidden struggles. Many feel like Gideon; afraid, unnoticed, unsure. But God sees more. This mentorship helps them see themselves through God’s eyes. It’s not about perfection, it’s about transformation through truth, love, and identity in Christ.
What We Explore
- Identity & Self-Worth – Who am I? Why do I matter?
- Purpose & Calling – What has God placed in me?
- Mental Health & Emotions – How do I manage what I feel?
- Faith & Purity – How do I live God’s way in today’s world?
- Relationships & Boundaries – Who should I walk with and how?
- Leadership & Life Skills – How do I grow into who I’m called to be?
Where It Happens
During school term: We visit students in their schools, leading sessions in classrooms and assemblies.
During holidays: We gather at the Centre for deeper mentorship, connection, and reflection.
In both spaces, we speak life, awaken purpose, and walk closely with every young person on their journey.
What You Walk Away With
Clarity, confidence, Godly wisdom, and a renewed sense of direction. You discover that you’re not what life says—you are who God says you are.
“Before Gideon fought any battle, God reminded him who he was. That’s where victory begins—in identity.”

5. Gracious Ladies
Empowering Women, Transforming Homes and Futures
Behind every strong family is a woman who gives her all. In the heart of Kibera, women rise daily to provide, care, and build. But their potential often remains unseen.

At Wonders of Hope, we created Gracious Ladies to walk alongside these women. We offer more than training—we offer transformation. From casual laborers to confident providers, our women grow in skills and in strength.

We partner with trainers and a pastry school to equip them in:
- Baking & Pastry Making
- Housekeeping & Home Management
- Etiquette, Table Setting, & Hosting
- Modern Equipment Handling

Training in session — unlocking potential through practical skills.
But Gracious Ladies is about more than work. It prepares women for business, parenting, and personal healing through:
- Financial & Small Business Training
- Parenting and Family Support
- First Aid & Personal Development

Preparing healthy meals—a step toward personal growth and family care.
Our goal is to build a sisterhood—where women are seen, celebrated, and supported. Together, they rise not just for themselves, but for their families and communities.
6. The Pillars
Empowering Men to Lead With Love and Purpose
At Wonders of Hope, We’re raising men. Men who love boldly, serve wisely, and lead with purpose. The Pillars program was born out of a deep need to support men emotionally, mentally, and economically—so they can rise above their struggles and become present fathers, responsible leaders, and protectors of their families and communities.
Restoring Identity, Responsibility, and Hope
- ✔ Discover their true identity and God-given purpose
- ✔ Build confidence and emotional strength
- ✔ Learn to uplift women instead of competing with them
- ✔ Become emotionally present fathers and intentional role models
- ✔ Share openly—through tears, questions, and conversation
We teach that vulnerability is not weakness, and leadership is not control—it is love, service, and courage.
Conversations That Matter
Through regular men’s meetings, community conferences, and guided discussions, we bring together:
- ✔ Trained counsellors and mental health professionals
- ✔ Business mentors and life coaches
- ✔ Faith leaders and relationship experts
Together, we tackle real-life topics like:
▪ Fatherhood and masculinity
▪ Addiction, stress, and emotional healing
▪ Communication, leadership, and healthy relationships
▪ Finances, employment, and long-term purpose

“A man who knows who he is becomes a pillar that cannot be shaken.”
The Goat Eating Gathering
Once a month, the men come together for a meal. But this isn’t just any meal. It’s a sacred space where stories are shared, burdens are lifted, and brotherhood is built. As they sit around, chewing goat meat and laughing freely, something powerful happens. Walls come down, hearts open up, and healing begins.
Stronger Men, Stronger Homes
The Pillars doesn’t end with a talk—it continues at home. Our goal is to send men back to their families:
- ✅ With hope in their hearts
- ✅ With wisdom in their minds
- ✅ With less emotional burden
- ✅ And with a new vision for who they can become
When men are whole, families thrive. And when families thrive, communities are transformed.
Seasonal & Support Programs – Going Further to Nourish and Inspire
1. Weekend Feeding Program
No Child Should Go Hungry
Every Saturday, we serve porridge at 10:00 AM and lunch at 1:00 PM. On Sundays, we continue providing lunch for children even for those who may not attend church. Our goal is simple: make sure no child in our community goes hungry over the weekend.
2. Holiday Programs & Camps
Safe, Enriching Spaces During School Breaks
In April, August, and November, we host Vacation Bible Studies (VBS) and continue serving meals throughout the week. In April, we focus on mentorship. In December, we host our annual Fearless Camp for teens a time of inspiration, learning, and joy.
3. Educational Outings & Exposure Trips
Opening Eyes to New Possibilities
Three times a year, we organize educational trips and fun days for sponsored children, giving them a chance to explore life beyond the slums. When possible, we extend these trips to other children in our programs, rotating by age to ensure everyone gets a chance.
At Wonders of Hope, our vision is clear: to nourish, inspire, and shape children for a better tomorrow. Whether through meals, mentorship, or meaningful moments, we're building futures full of faith, joy, and possibility.
